- Brrr! Very cold Cass again, after only 3hrs outdoors.
- Layering at Project YIPPEE involves: base layer bottoms, jeans(for chris) and khakis (for cass), cass also adds pr sweatpants, snowpants, base layer top, t-shirt(or long sleeve for cass), sweatshirt, and another sweatshirt, jacket, hats, socks, boot so
- At work today, two of Chris' coworkers had the following exchange: (after pointing to Chris) "Why d'ya think he's wearing a short sleeve shirt?"... "He's a hippie and lives in a tent, what d'ya expect?"...

Notes:
- Windy and cold again. Too bad remaining deck work is all in the shade.
- Cass tries out new schedule, in effort to still get work done but not get as thoroughly shivery and chilled as happened on weekend: work a couple hrs and then warmup etc break in yurt, then go do a couple more hrs.

- Cass' late start turned out to be for the best in one respect: if she had gotten outdoors when planned, she would have gotten very sick from the low-flying military jet that flew through mid-morning. She was quite sick enough today without that.

Notes:
- Cass had some excruciating pains ("the intense kind you are not at all sure you can survive") from detoxing that she hasn't had since Poocham days. Feeling ill most of day.
- Also, water pipes freeze again. Trickle not enough to prevent. Toilet line was not frozen, and kept running until in evening, when gurgle gurgle gurgle and nothing...
- But, day ended on an up note. Chris home for night...

- Chris slept great, at home with Cass! So good that he (for once) is awake and feeling refreshed!
- C+C wish Chris could have a snow day and experience the blizzard together. After shoveling Park Ave, and having a very enjoyable breakfast with Cass, he heads back to work. 5 hrs to drive!

- Plowing 18" of snow is a really not-so-fun task. Chris got it done but swore a lot and managed to run over the GIPPEE shower pan. D'oh!

- Good thing we bought a really expensive insulated outdoor pipe and spent a weekend raising it (including six stitches) because it would really suck to have to clean the stovepipe out every two weeks like we did last wint.....oh....right

213.01 is done! Finished last little bit on 17th. The full task includes footings, post, beams, joists, blockings; all were lumped together, and had estimated 20 days, way back when this project was originally started. Work was don

Brr. Cass very cold in 38F indoor temp this AM, and also in afternoon outdoors in 10F.

- At 11:15pm, Cass has door wide open in 15F weather. No, not because that's a heat wave (compared to the AM's 0F)... Because frickin wood stinky horrible nasty smoke stench. The kind that made the woodstove come out of yurt last spring. The kind that is

- the small "joist" workaround by door was not level. discovered the reason - it was attached to a twisting board. Unscrewed the "joist" and put shim in to push top out and thus making level. Got the cooresponding deck board down. Measured and marked the
- on back side, attached very very twisted board with serious ratchet strapping.
- When shaky, cold and struggling to get battery off drill for replacement, decided that was enough for day.

- Soup and Hot Cocoa on hiatus. Hot lunch important when so cold outside. But without water, C+C are scaling back to avoid dishes and water usage. Also saves some time. Hot toasted PB+J and choco milks for today's lunch.
- Snowmobilers out. Ugh! Up and down Baker Brook, and also up and down Oregon Falls road - a private road - our private road! Thankfully Cass was inside when that part happened or she'd have been done for. Also happened on OF when she was up top too. Ver
