11/08/06 - Wednesday 
Notes: 
  
   - Rainy for this first day of last yurtraising
   
 - Chris home @ 3:45 am due to late travel
   
 - Chris R on-site for his third tour of duty. He has a cough and had to back out of cold camping but volunteers to sleep on the 14' floor.  Slumber party ensues.

   - attached temp bracing to posts
   
 - attached one drip edge and got wet
   
 - Chris & Chris carried a pack pf rafter supports up to the site like burly he-men

   - Cut posts two feet shorter

 - got lattice, ring and rafters up

   - top cover, dome, and insulation carried from Xterra to site.

213.15 Raise 20/30' yurts 
  
   - Chris, Chris and Steve get the top cover onto scaffolding with no hassle or rigging of contraptions.  Takes them about 5 minutes
   
 - Rafter supports raised.   Two socket heads stripped out but Chris comes up with a creative alternate to a store trip for replacements.
   
 - Top cover is laid out but darkness makes positioning too hard to continue

11/11/06 - Saturday 
Notes: 
  
   - A sizeable bug chose to kamikaze into Cassandra's right eye. Yow!
   
 - As Steve was pulling the top cover down the grommet attached to the rope he was pulling on gave way.  Due to his masterful falling skills and stong self-preservation instinct Steve ended up with only a bruised bum after falling six feet, nearly landing

   - top covers suck.  C&C&S wrestle all day with the 20' cover.  It does not line up easily and appears to be too small for the diameter of the yurt walls.  Which is impossible unless the manufacturer totally screwed something up.  But, by end of day the t

   - Chris works on a beam while waiting for Cass as he and Steve determined two pairs of hands were insufficent for top cover wrangling.

   - top cover is still a pain, finally goes on.
   
 - got to side cover in rain, realized its not sitting right due to top cover problems, tied off all loose ends and will finish when light and dry again

   - hand carted 127# of replacement top cover from Xterra to 20' yurt
   
 - removed side cover, side insulation, dome and bad top cover

   - Jere came down to help with the top cover replacement
   
 - Top cover replacement took one - 1 - hour!
   
 - @ 5:30 pm the yurt was completed
   
 - The celebratory Booja Booja champagne chocolate was eaten
   
 - THIS TASK IS DONE!
